Der frühe Vogel

Crocus chrysanthus "Snow Bunting".
Auf der Packung steht zwar "Snowbunting", aber wenn man den Vogel (Plectrophenax nivalis) gesehen hat, ist es viel passender, die Worte auseinanderzuschreiben.

Those are beautiful! I like the small crocus species better than Crocus vernus.

I had to translate this one because "Vogel" was the last name of one of my grandmothers (her father was from the part of Switzerland that is near Germany). I never knew that it meant bird.
