It looks like you have a little Japanese maple in a pot. It also looks like you have a peony? I have one in my garden but it is absolutely choked with weeds right now...They actually don't do that well here, & I usually only have 1 or 2 blooms. The previous owner planted in & was from Michigan, so I guess wanted one. They are beautiful! I've kind of let my yard and garden go the last few years because I've been on research trips for the past few summers and wasn't here to baby things through our hot summers -- you have to water some things every day. I will be here this summer, so I'm keen to get at least some good weeding done, tend to my perennials and get my pots planted. I've nearly got a huge section written so I'm planning to take a few days off and work in the yard as soon as I finish.
